3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape provides outstanding
surface protection. It helps prevent damage caused by fluids, FOD impact,
abrasion and erosion from most airborne particles. It is made from a highly
durable UV light stabilized highly elastic thermoplastic coated with a unique
high performance pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive system.
The tape is formulated to resist degradation from ultra
violet light and most aerospace fluids, the conditions present in most

3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tapes 8693 and 8693DL are flame-retardant
tape constructions made from a tough polyurethane elastomer that is puncture,

prevent fluids from penetrating floorboards. They meet the regulatory
requirements of FAR 25.853 for aircraft interiors.

3M 8671 protects the leading edge of an aircraft's propeller
against airborne particulate that could otherwise cause scratches, abrasion,
erosion, punctures and even blunt force trauma. It can also be used on other

harmful volatile organic compounds.

This tape is made from an exceptionally tough abrasion

and minor impact damage. It can be installed in a minimum amount of time with
simple tools. It can be painted or applied over painted surfaces. 3M 8663 Tape
and 3M 8663 DL Tape are constructed with a long-aging, solvent-resistant,
pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive that is protected with an easy-release
plastic liner.

These products are uniquely formulated to pass the burn resistance requirements of FAR 25.853 when tested alone or as a covering applied to floor panels such as those noted below. We are in the airframe construction industry. We are looking for adhesive tapes to meet our various requirements. We have tried using normal adhesive tapes, but they have not been very effective. What kind of tapes would be perfect to meet such a requirement, and where should we get them from?
