How to Create an SEO Friendly Content

If you have a business website, it is important that the content of your website is search engine optimized (SEO). This is because SEO plays an important role in affecting your website’s placement on various search engines. If your potential audience does not find you in search engine pages, even your best-written articles will go unheeded. However, writing SEO-friendly content is not an easy task. The following tips will help you write content that is relevant to your website and will gain the attention of the audience, as well as show up in search results.

Write original content: Creating content that is original and authentic is important if you want to make it  stand out from the rest. Offering your unique perspective on a topic written by your competitors will add value to that particular topic. You should avoid writing duplicate content because it is not appreciated by search engines and  won’t help you rank higher in SERPs.

Optimize the title: The title of your content is among the first things that users will come across when carrying out a search. Using focussed keywords in the title is a good idea. Creating a title of 55-60 characters is always good, as this is what Google will display on the SERP.

Use headlines and sub-headers: Using headlines and sub-headers will make your writing easy to read. When the content is easy to read, there is more likelihood of people sharing it. Headers and sub-headers also increase keyword saturation.

Use keywords: Keywords are helpful to offer an overview of the topic you are focusing on. Keywords can be helpful, provided that they are added in context and in the right balance. Avoid keyword stuffing because it can lead to the opposite of the result you want.

Optimize images: Using images in your content makes it more interesting and shareable. A website with attractive and relevant photos has more visitors than a website with less or no photos. Your photos can be optimized by adding keywords to the image files and providing ALT tags. You must also optimize the size of the photo because large photos usually slow the load time and negatively impact SEO. Make your image as small as possible without compromising on its visibility or quality.
